DAWN AEROWAR Characters: Zodiac 1 and the Aces of the Saal'Runa Empire

DAWN AEROWAR's cast is small and sharp: one haunted protagonist, three Imperial aces built as thematic counterweights, and the Empire's command structure behind them. All entries below carry only officially-established information — performance analysis waits for the November 10 release (planned).

Zodiac 1 — The Protagonist

Voiced by Sam Hughes. A fighter pilot seeking revenge against the Saal'Runa Empire after losing his family, his home, and his purpose. His final mission is the film's spine: escort a secret weapon whose existence is supposed to remain unknown, across twelve episodes from the northern front to the Imperial Capital. Full profile: Zodiac 1.

The Rival Aces

Three Imperial elite pilots sent to stop Zodiac 1 — the film's antagonists and its central question made flesh:

• Reaper — voiced by Blythe Melin. "The Name of Death" — an Imperial ace who loves war more than peace.
• Freya — voiced by Sandra Espinoza. "The Imperial Goddess" — known for quoting philosophers during combat.
• Miracle — voiced by Lara Sawalha. "The Guardian Angel" — an ace known for saving lives rather than taking them.

The trio's philosophical split is the synopsis's sharpest signal: the antagonists are not a wall of mooks but a debate about what fighting is for. Deep-dive: rival aces.

The Empire's Command

Legate — voiced by Mark Mullens. The Emperor — voiced by Jeremiah Foltz. The command structure behind the Imperial war effort; their roles in the story establish the political layer above the aces.

Morningstar

Voiced by Kira Buckland. Morningstar's allegiance and role are established in official materials with fewer public details than the aces — this profile expands when the film makes the character's story verifiable.

The Complete Picture

Cast is one of the production's headline promises — the full team behind the performances is in the voice cast and creators guide, and the story framework these characters operate in is on the story and lore page.
